Your first consultation is a chance to tell your story in your own words. You do not need to know Ayurvedic terminology or arrive with a treatment in mind.

Bring the full picture

Write down your main concerns, when they began, and what has helped or made them worse. Bring relevant reports, prescriptions, and a list of medicines and supplements. Include any allergies and ongoing care with other practitioners.

Think about your routines

You may be asked about sleep, meals, work, activity, stress, and digestion. These details help the practitioner understand your day-to-day context. There are no ideal answers—accuracy is more helpful than trying to describe a “healthy” routine.

Ask practical questions

Before agreeing to a plan, ask what is being recommended, what the expected commitment is, whether there are precautions, and how progress will be reviewed. You can also ask how the plan fits alongside your current medical care.

If anything is unclear, say so. Good care should feel like a conversation, and your questions are part of it.
